Privacy Policy

Updated 2026-10-19

This explains what we hold about you and why. We keep as little as we can. Last updated 19 October 2026.

What we collect

  • Your email address, and your name if you give one, so we can create your account and send your eSIM.
  • Your orders: which plans you bought, when, what you paid, and the eSIM identifier issued to you.
  • Company name and VAT number, only if you apply for business pricing.
  • Basic technical data such as your IP address and browser, used to keep the service running and secure.

How we count visits

We count how the site is used, so we can tell which destinations people are looking for and where the site is confusing. This is deliberately anonymous: we set no cookies for it, and never link it to your account.

  • The pages visited, which destination each one was about, and which plans were added to a cart.
  • What was typed into the destination search box, and how many destinations it matched.
  • The language of the page, and when each of these happened.
  • The country your connection appears to be in. We work this out from your IP address at the moment you visit, using a database on our own server, and then discard the address. The address itself is never stored, never written to our records, and never sent to anyone else.
  • A random number your browser tab makes up for itself, so that several pages can be seen as one visit. It is kept only by that tab and is gone when you close it — the next visit is a stranger to us.

We do not keep your IP address. It is read to work out a country and then dropped, so there is nothing in these records that points back to a particular connection.

Because the number is thrown away with the tab, we cannot tell a returning visitor from a new one, and we cannot single out what any one person did. We keep these records for 120 days and then delete them.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we record nothing at all.

What we never see

Your card details. Payment happens on our payment provider's own page, and we receive only a confirmation and a reference. Your full card number never reaches our servers.

Who else processes your data

  • Our eSIM supplier, who issues the plan and therefore receives the technical details needed to do so.
  • Our payment provider, who handles the payment and holds the card data.
  • Resend, which delivers our email.
  • Our hosting provider, where the service runs.

Why we are allowed to hold it

To perform the contract you entered when buying, to meet tax and accounting obligations, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell your data and do not send marketing you did not ask for.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept while required for tax and accounting. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it, after which we keep only what the law requires us to.

Your choices

Email support@esimycard.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have your account deleted. We will confirm when it is done.
